President Bush cleverly exploits the two meanings of the word freedom. One meaning is the modern liberal variety, the other is more of an absolute concept, derived from God, if you will. "But most ordinary Americans view freedom in quite different terms.

There goes the neighbourhood

Today, SR (Sveriges Radio) tells me that Norway is following Denmark all the way. Fraemskrittspartiet (a nationalist, racist party) is now the biggest party, according to a poll. This makes me sad. It's not like people in Scandinavia live "like stuffed herrings" as we say.

I've been wanting to write something about one of my neighbours for quite some time now. Everybody else does, so it must be really important. Maybe Important even, perhaps. The neighbour in question is, as I suppose you have guessed by now, Denmark.
